Cellulite Considerations

Filed under: Weight Loss — Administrator @ 4:50 am

The term cellulite used in front of a woman often results in a response along the lines of disgust and dismay, as the appearance can be unsightly; people that suffer with this find it tends to affect them mainly from the waist down. Most women carry excess fat in thighs and buttocks, but this problem is not confined just to the overweight; the lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese beneath the skin can affect slim, even sporting women as well.

You see as the collection of fats push against the connective tissue, it tends to cause the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and visually look lumpy; giving you what is referred to as cellulite. In reality, nobody knows the real reason why some people accumulate these fats and not others, but there are some factors that health experts are considering such as the structure of the fat cells or toxins that enter the body.

What is certain though is that the older you become the greater the likelihood of this type of cell forming as the elastin and collagen, that help stop aging lines, becomes less effective. Whilst many would disagree, this condition is often referred to a hormone imbalance problem as men almost never have this happen to them.

It is not uncommon to only see the cellulite when the skin is pinched between the fingers at which pint it can normally be felt as well but it is a very common complaint amongst women. Many factors can influence the buildup; ranging from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type and skin thickness, all have a part to play in its formation.

One thing for sure is that technology has not as yet devised a miracle potion or treatment that can eradicate it completely. Some clinics specialize in the removal of cellulite simply apply deep massaging to puff up the skin and temporarily reduce the cellulites appearance.

Another technique used to remove the fat cells, but not that successfully, is liposuction which is used to remove excess fat in the body but a method called mesotherapy which injects chemicals into the fat cells is still too expensive for most people who desire it. However, these are only temporary measures so do not provide permanent relief and liposuction is really only efficient for deeper based fats and not those close to the surface as with cellulite.

There isn’t one single therapy or treatment that can rid someone of these fat deposits and even special burning creams provide dubious results; however the most recent creams available seem to just hide the effects or offer a temporary fix. So far the best method is back to basics combining a healthy diet with exercise that gradually burns off the fat but not the connective tissue where it is found.

Many toxins that accumulate in the body can be flushed out with regular amounts of water which some believe is still an effective way to keep the body free of harmful substances including the toxins which help with the formation of cellulite.

Hoodia Gordonii: Natural Wonder of Weight Loss

Filed under: Weight Loss — Administrator @ 9:44 pm

Perhaps the most significant discovery in the control of weight has been the Hoodia plant, a natural resource which is making a huge impact in the world of slimming; the potential of this plant is even getting experts excited. As soon as the word spread amongst the weight loss industry, Hoodia weight loss products started to be promoted heavily; the potential market for people this product can help is massive. Whilst there is no secret about this plant, most people know very little about where it comes from.

There are in fact thirteen species of this cactus but one particular variety is used as an appetite suppressant. It is called Hoodia Gordonii and is found in the deserts of South Africa. This wonder plant has caused a stir and is greatly sought after. No other natural product has ever been discovered that is as effective at blocking hunger pangs.

Scientists actually researched the cactus plant in depth over a period of years using volunteers to test its effectiveness. One of the examples of its effectiveness was quite astounding as it consisted of a number of BBC workers who volunteered to eat just a single Hoodia leaf. Nobody on the team required food or drink, once they had consumed it, for the entire day.

Unlike many other appetite suppressants, Hoodia weight loss products do not have any side effects. One doesn’t need to worry about the adverse effects common to other weight loss products such as an abnormal heartbeat or digestive problems. The great advantage of this plant is that not only does it suppress appetite and food craving, but it also gives you the right amount of energy necessary to continue daily tasks without feeling tired.

Nevertheless, whilst it is being taken, the user should still drink plenty of fluids and eat a healthy diet. The purpose of the Hoodia weight loss pill is not to starve yourself but to control unnatural and unnecessary food cravings; although, it would not be healthy to stop eating altogether. If you experience problems controlling your hunger then using Hoodia weight loss pills are probably the only way to help your problem.

It is important to mention that products containing the true ingredient are quite expensive as this plant is quite rare. This explains the high production costs. Plant extracts used in Hoodia weight loss products and pills are readily available over the internet but if the price is very low, you can be sure they are probably not original or contain only insignificant traces of the plant. For something as good as Hoodia, it is worth paying extra as it is the best natural form of suppressing the appetite known to man and should not be confused with cheap imitations.
